Total Training July 2017 Update
Total Training July 2017 Update
July kicked off with a return visit to the New London Theatre to deliver both work at height training and refresher rescue training for Really Useful Theatres Group technicians from the New London and Her Majesty’s. Session included using an installed system and a more generic method that caters for many eventualities where someone might be left hanging in a harness. The system can also be used for evacuating a person not wearing harness, for example someone incapacitated on a catwalk.
Total Training were also very happy to support Rogueplay in their annual TILT festival, delivering two one day courses developed with Rogueplay for aerialists and their riggers. A highlight of each day was the opportunity for performers to measure the forces that their act generates so they can accurately assess rigging points or liaise with venues providing them. Attendees included performers, venue staff and manufacturers and distributors of aerial equipment. Total Training courses are also delivered by UK Rigging who kindly supplied the load-cells used over the weekend to help us support Rogueplay in this initiative.
