Training Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions for booking Total Training courses from May 1st 2022

Bookings

Courses are run for a minimum of 4 bookings and are limited to 6 participants except by prior arrangement.

Complete the online booking form or send us an official Purchase Order to book a course.

Your booking is confirmed on settlement of our invoice.

All training courses are invoiced on a pro-forma basis even if your company has a trading account with us.

Our invoice must be settled 28 days prior to the course date or your place(s) will be offered to another customer.

Invoices raised less than 28 days ahead of the course must be paid by return.

If you wish to transfer your booking to another date you must first pay the invoice by the due date.

We do not make refunds on bookings cancelled within 28 days of the course dates you book.

We reserve the right to postpone or cancel courses where bookings make them non-viable.

We cannot take responsibility for cancellations caused by events outside our control, including consequences of the coronavirus pandemic or the loss of internet connection during online training.

Payment

Payment can be made by cheque, bank transfer/BACS or via credit or debit card.

Fees apply to card transactions. Please check these with the office before you choose to use this facility.

In accordance with VAT regulations, a VAT invoice will be sent to you by e mail once the course is completed.

General

Training at Total Training may help employers and the self-employed to meet their duties in legislation to provide adequate training for work activity. However, training with an external company is unlikely to completely discharge an employer’s statutory duty and our course content should be carefully assessed.

Our courses are not qualifications or intended to be ‘competent person’ courses; training of such short duration cannot normally produce appropriate competence or authorise a work activity.

The only qualifications for entertainment rigging in the UK (as defined by the National Rigging Advisory Group) is the National Rigging Certificate awarded by PLASA.  See www.plasa.org/skills for details of the National Rigging Certificate scheme.

We make no assumptions about ability of course attendees beyond what is necessary to participate in a course. We treat every participant as an individual irrespective of age, gender, marital/parental status, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, cultural background or nationality.

The English language is normally used for the delivery of all courses and printed material in the UK and overseas.

It may be possible by special arrangement to provide an interpreter or translations. This takes time to organize and will attract extra cost; contact Total Training for details.
