Rigging Training Winter School at The Federation of Scottish Theatres

The Rigging Training Winter School for the Federation of Scottish Theatres’ is held annually at Pitlochry Festival Theatre. A beautiful riverside setting and a lovely little theatre well suited to delivering our 2 and 3 day rigging courses.This February was our second visit to Pitlochry and one that we hope will be a regular date in the Total Training calendar.

This year we had 6 trainees and a couple of the senior house technicians as observers. The training followed our standard 2 day rigging awareness course covering the marking out, preparation and rigging of chain hoists to support a small truss grid itself carrying further hoists. The rigging equipment was again kindly provided by FST’s training partners, Black Light.
