Light Duty Truss
Light Duty Truss
Light Duty Plated Truss is ideally suited to applications where ceiling height or truck space is limited. It is a popular solution for supporting general lighting with spans up to 14 metres.
There are two sizes of Light Duty Truss, the standard 305mm high x 305mm wide and a variation measuring 305mm high x 457mm wide. The standard size is ideal for most general applications, providing a compact yet sturdy framework that is easy to transport and install. It is particularly well-suited for smaller venues or setups where space is a constraint.
Wider Version available
Meanwhile, the larger variation offers increased width, providing additional stability and fixture options. This makes it suitable for more demanding applications where heavier equipment or larger spans are required. Both sizes are designed with the same high-quality materials and craftsmanship, ensuring reliability and durability in diverse settings.
This Light Duty Truss is versatile enough to be used in a range of environments, from small-scale events and exhibitions to more significant installations in theatres or concert halls. Their modular nature allows for easy customization and scalability, meeting the specific needs of each project while maintaining structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.

Light Duty Trussing System
The TFL range of plated aluminium trussing emerged in the 1990s as a solution to the challenges posed by internal sleeve joints that could easily be damaged. Instead of relying on these problematic sleeves, TFL introduced a bolted connection method. This innovative approach simplifies the assembly process by requiring only basic tools for a swift and secure setup.
Key Benefits of the Gusset Plate System
- Minimized Snag Risks: One standout feature of this system is its ability to avoid external protrusions like bolt or pin heads. This not only enhances safety by reducing snag risks but also helps in keeping replacement and maintenance costs down.
- Strength and Aesthetics: Over the years, the components have been rigorously tested and optimized, offering an impressive strength-to-weight ratio. Additionally, the design maintains visual appeal, which makes it suitable for varied applications.
- Versatility: The system offers a wide range of lengths, junctions, and accessories, ensuring flexibility for diverse projects and setups. This adaptability is particularly beneficial for users needing customized configurations that maintain structural integrity.
