PLASA Focus Leeds 2014, 29-30 April

Total Solutions Group are gearing up for PLASA Focus Leeds 2014, and it will be the first time at the event for our Project Manager, Nigel Tranter. Nigel has been responsible for designing large projects over the years for TSG.

We will be exhibiting this year on stand N-B26 where pictures of our recent projects including the Winter Olympics and the Olivier Awards, will be displayed. The OV Truss which was launched at the PLASA Focus show last year (and will be on our stand), has been greatly received and we already have an extensive list of clients after its first year of production.

Rental company ‘Fentura Productions Ltd’ recently acquired the OV40 range for their stock. Fenturas’ Lighting Designer / Owner, Tim Matthews said “we needed a product to sit somewhere in between our XO and Maxibeam, so the 40cm OV looked like a good option. Strength wise it was comparable with some other manufacturers 52cm trusses, but we can transport over twice as much metre-age in the same truck space with the OV”.

Chris Higgs (Rigging Training Manager, Total Solutions Group) and Harry Box (UK Rigging) will be holding a seminar as part of the PLASA Focus Leeds 2014 Professional Development Programme. There will be a discussion about rigging and the information that needs to be exchanged between client, venue and rigging contractor. A panel representing venues and their clients and contractors will join in with the debate following the initial presentation. Panel members include; Nicky Norman, Senior Production and Technical Manager at ACC Liverpool.
